Polygon want a cracker

A$55.00

The first artwork in the ‘Birds of a Feather’ series, ‘Polygon want a cracker’ was originally created in 2016 using watercolour and ink on Arches cold pressed paper. Fast forward to 2022 where I have access to different media, tools and a new way of creating artworks. I’m excited to announce this piece has now been made available to the public for the first time.

‘Polygon want a cracker’ is a portrait style illustrative depiction of an Australian Sulphur-crested cockatoo. These parrots based throughout the northern and eastern mainland, and Tasmania have a raucous screech with a sulphur-yellow crest. The shape of their crest inspired the use of polygons in this artwork which transcended into the entire ‘Birds of a Feather’ series.

To ensure high quality is maintained each artwork is printed by me on A4 Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308GSM museum quality paper. The smooth, matte paper is 100% cotton and is approximately 29.7cm (high) and 21cm (wide) with the printed image size approximately 21.5cm (high) by 16cm (wide).

All prints are coated with Hahnemühle Protective Spray which contains a UV absorber and offers additional protection against UV light. The coating increases the abrasion to the high quality Fine Art paper, which prevents the risk of fingerprint marks and scratches.

Once the print has cured for 24 hours is it placed into a clear plastic sleeve and additional card to ensure the print is protected during transit.

Please note: This is not a limited edition print and is not signed, titled or numbered.
